Now, this is the long wordy bit you need to make sure you read and understand before you buy stuff from Shinearama. It sounds stiff, but it's for your own good, and honestly, we really don't all walk around in suits.

Use and access to Shinearama's products and services is conditional on your acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions of Business.

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 'Shinearama' refers to Shinearama Ltd.

1.2 'Website' refers to this Shinearama website, accessed via shinearama.co.uk, shinearama.com or shinearama.eu

1.3 'Goods' refers to any items offered for sale on the Website.

1.4 'Buyer' refers to the consumer purchasing Goods from the Website, or the person browsing the Website.

1.5 'Order' refers to Goods that the Buyer pledges to buy after completing payment via the online checkout process.

1.6 'Working Day' refers to any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or English public holiday.

1.7 'Conditions' refers to this complete set of terms and conditions.

2. General

2.1 All Goods offered through the Website are covered by these Conditions, which Buyers are required to read and agree to at the point of placing an Order. Completing an Order constitutes acceptance of these Conditions.

2.2 Shinearama operates every Working Day during the office hours of 09.00-17.00 GMT. Shinearama will endeavour to handle received Orders and communications within one Working Day of receipt. Orders and communications received outside these office hours will be handled as if they were received on the next Working Day. If it is possible, orders and communications may be handled outside of office hours.

3. Orders

3.1 Shinearama accepts payment through either Google Checkout or PayPal, for Orders placed on the Website.

3.2 The Website can only accept orders originating from and for delivery to addresses in countries specified on the shipping page, which may change from time to time without notice due to variable shipping costs and availability.

3.3 Should the Buyer order Goods that are subsequently found to be out of stock or are otherwise unavailable after completion of an Order, Shinearama will contact the Buyer and offer the choice of: a refund of the value of the Goods; an alternative item of equal value; or payment to be held in abeyance until such time as the Goods become available and can be despatched to the Buyer.

3.4 The Buyer must notify Shinearama immediately after placing the Order of any errors made while placing the Order. Changes to the Order contents or delivery details may not be possible after it has been picked, and may incur a charge that will be passed on to the Buyer.

4. Shipping

4.1 Shinearama will make best endeavour to despatch Orders to the Buyer within one Working Day of receipt, but does not guarantee this.

4.2 All Goods will be shipped via overnight or international courier, at the discretion of Shinearama and at no additional cost to the Buyer, depending on the size and destination of the Order. Orders may be split into multiple packages, again at no additional cost to the Buyer.

4.3 The Buyer must allow a minimum of 5 Working Days for despatch and delivery of an Order if the delivery address is within the UK, or a minimum of 10 Working Days for despatch and delivery of an Order if the delivery address is outside the UK. The Buyer will be advised of despatch and a tracking number (if one is available for the Order). Shinearama will track Orders with the shipping company on behalf of the Buyer.

4.4 The Buyer must notify Shinearama of any damage, errors or deficiencies within 48 hours of receipt of the Order.

4.5 The loss of any order due to incorrect information supplied by the Buyer is the responsibility of the Buyer. Shinearama will not be liable for any losses incurred as a result of errors on the Buyer's part.

4.6 Orders requesting Next Day Delivery must be placed before 1pm to guarantee shipping the same day. Next Day Delivery is not guaranteed due to factors beyond our control - Shinearama offers no refund for late delivery, and no recompense for consequential loss due to late delivery.

5. Returns

5.1 Should the Buyer wish to return Goods, they may do so provided that the Buyer contacts Shinearama within 5 Working Days days of receipt of the Goods to obtain a Goods Return Authorisation. Goods will not be accepted for return without prior authorisation.

5.2 Return of unwanted Goods is under condition that the Goods are unopened with any manufacturer seals and packaging intact (i.e. in a resaleable condition), and that all instructions, fittings and accessories (where applicable to the original Goods) are also intact. Unwanted Goods that are returned with damaged/opened manufacturer packaging, or are otherwise incomplete or unfit for sale, will be rejected and returned to the Buyer, which will incur further return postage charges to the Buyer. Shinearama will not pay return shipping costs, and are not responsible for returned Goods lost in transit.

5.3 Buyers are advised to send any returns via tracked and insured mail.

6. Disclaimer

6.1 Although Shinearama may feature reviews and tests of the Goods offered for sale on the Website, such reviews are the opinion of the individual carrying out the test at the time and relate only to that test and the specific circumstances of the test. Shinearama does not endorse nor guarantee the suitability of Goods in any given circumstance or for any given purpose. Goods sold through the Website are presented "as is", and as such Shinearama do not carry out any general testing or research as to the suitability on these products for specific situations. Claims of suitability of Goods for a given purpose are those of the manufacturer of the Goods, and as such neither Shinearama, nor any of its directors, employees or representatives, are liable for damages arising out of injury or damage to property or person caused by use, incorrect or otherwise, of the Goods sold through the Website. Any claims of this nature must be directed to the originating manufacturer of the Goods.

7. Security

7.1 All monetary transactions for Orders placed on the Website are processed by trusted third-party payment handlers - Google Checkout and PayPal. These companies offer a safe, secure payment environment independent of Shinearama.

7.2 Shinearama does not have access to the Buyer's financial details in any form. Buyers should be aware that using the online payment methods offered construes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of the payment handler. The Buyer should review and understand the terms and conditions of the chosen payment handler before placing an Order.

8. Notice of Confidentiality

8.1 Through the course of receiving and fulfilling an Order, Shinearama will need to acquire certain personal information about the Buyer, including (but not limited to) delivery and home address details, name, contact telephone numbers and email addresses. Shinearama will ensure at all times that this information is not disseminated without the Buyer's consent, and commits to abide by the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

9.1 These Conditions will be governed and interpreted in accordance with English Law, and any disputes relating to these Conditions will be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
